We adore our bunnies and take finding their forever homes seriously. Our process is simple, but we are careful about where every bunny goes and the life they will have there.

Check Our Adoption Standards
Before contacting us, please read our Adoption Terms & Conditions in full. Please only enquire if you understand, accept and can meet all of the following requirements:
- Adult ownership: The adopter must be at least 18 years old, want the bunny for themselves and accept full responsibility throughout the bunnyās life.
- Children and teens: They can love and help care for the bunny, but the bunnyās stability and care cannot depend on their ongoing interest or involvement.
- Indoor family living: The bunny must live and sleep indoors with plenty of space. Outdoor play must be secure, supervised and limited to safe weather.
- Daily care: The bunny must receive daily attention, exercise and enrichment, an appropriate diet, unlimited hay and water, and a clean, temperature-controlled home.
- Time and costs: The adult must be prepared for up to 13 years of food, housing, desexing, vaccinations, routine and emergency veterinary care, and suitable care whenever the family travels.
- Returning your bunny: If you can no longer keep the bunny, they must return to Bellarine Bunnies. They cannot be sold, given away, abandoned or surrendered elsewhere.

Reserve Your Bunny
To secure your bunny, you will need to formally accept our Adoption Terms & Conditions and pay a 50% non-refundable deposit (electronically).

Prepare Their Home
Before collection, prepare a spacious and secure indoor area with everything your bunny needs to settle in safely.
- Unlimited hay and constant access to fresh water
- Appropriate fresh greens and quality pellets
- A comfortable place to rest, sleep and hide
- Plenty of room to move, stretch and exercise
- Toys, enrichment and daily interaction
- Protection from heat, cold and household hazards
- A safe and secure carrier for collection
We are happy to provide advice about housing, feeding, litter training and helping your bunny settle into their new home.
Collect Your Bunny
Collection is by appointment from Geelong, close to GMHBA Stadium. Our exact address is provided after your reservation has been confirmed.
- Bring a safe and secure rabbit carrier
- Pay the remaining balance in cash at collection
- Collect your bunny within seven days of reservation unless another arrangement has been agreed
Legal ownership remains with Bellarine Bunnies until full payment has been received and the bunny has been collected.
